The fastest way to determine if you could be eligible for the Little Sparks Project funds is to fill out and submit a family pre-screen application.
Here at Little Sparks, we know that so many different diagnoses impact families, and because of that, we do not post a list of eligible diagnoses.
Please use the funds for the area of greatest need to make sure your child gets the care they need to thrive.
Some examples include...
- Transportation and lodging for trips to out-of-state doctor appointments for the patient and one caregiver
- At-home medical equipment or service needs (e.g., oxygen equipment, nursing needs)
- Additional medical expenses (e.g., hospital stays, procedures/surgeries, copays)
No. Since babies are born every day, we want to ensure that a family in need has a chance to receive funding from us at any time. Therefore, you can complete an application and submit it to the Little Sparks Project any day of the year. You cannot submit more than one application per family or more than one application within a 12-month period.
Each family can apply for funding once per year. If you are not selected during your first application, you may fill out and submit a new application 12 months from your original submission date. Please only submit one application per family.
Since we are working to help children and their families, privacy is very important.
To verify your eligibility, we will need certain personal and medical information, which can be verified via an authentication form from a medical provider. This information will be maintained in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
Without your written consent, we will not use your or your child's personal information for advocacy, awareness, or marketing materials. If you are open to sharing your story, friends of the Little Sparks Project would love to hear examples of how your child's inner spark shines as they grow.
